Norma Van Steenhoven, 85

Norma Van Steenhoven, 85 died Oct. 4, 1999, in Littleton, Colo.

Services were Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Joy Lutheran Church in Parker, Colo. A stone marker will be placed in the family plot in Blair, and the ashes interred by the marker. A graveside memorial service is planned for when the marker is in place.

Norma (Lund) Van Steenhoven was born Nov. 26, 1913, to Mr. and Mrs. N. T. Lund of Blair.

Her middle name, Danita, is a derivation of Dana. The family home was across the street from Dana College where her father was once a faculty member, and where Norma was once a student.

She worked as a legal secretary until her marriage to Frank Van Steenhoven on January 23, 1950. She then became a homemaker and mother.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Van Steenhoven of Parker, Colo.; one son, Tom; grandchildren Nicholas and Olivia of Conifer, Colo.; and a sister-in-law, Marcelyn Lund of Blair.

She is preceded in death by four sisters, Una, Ruth, Lona and Dorothy; and by two brothers, Ray and Russell.

Memorials may be directed to Dana College.
