She was born April 15, 1908 in Sioux City, Iowa to Daniel and Ida Yealquist DeMarest.

She married James M. Lee. She lived in Omaha until moving to Kennard in 1983. She was residing at the home of her daughter, Betty Howland in 'Kennard at the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and six sisters.

She is' survived by two daughters, Betty Howland of Kennard and LaDonna Gruhn of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
