Services were Mon., Sept. 30 at theCampbell-Aman Funeral Home for Grace Kahnk, 82 of Blair who died at Crowell Memorial Home Sept. 26, 1996. Burial was in the German Cemetery iil ruraI Washington County.

Grace Kahnk was born Oct. 10, 1913 at Irvington, Neb. to Henry and Emma Markmann Suverkrubbe. She attended Wranch School and graduated from Benson High School in 1931.

She married Louie Kahnk in Bennington, Neb. March 17, 1936. They farmed in the Wranch School area and lived there.

In July, 1969, they received the Pioneer Farm Family award, having had the farm in the family for 100 years.

She was a 50-year member of-the Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of the Blair Memorial Community Hospital Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and a brother, Russell Suverkrubbe.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lyle and Rita Kahnk of Omaha.
