Mrs. Burl Vaughn Died In California Last Sunday

Mrs. Burl Vaughn, a resident of Blair for many years, died in Hillsborough, California, last Sunday. She was 80 years of age.

Helen Margaret Vaughn was born at North Platte, Nebraska, December 22, 1890. She came to Blair as a young woman, was married to Burl Vaughn of this city and has lived at 2004 Grant Street for more than 40 years.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1949.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Abbie Ann Bellows, of Stamford, Nebraska, and by Mrs. Virginia Blak, of Hillsborough, California.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Robert Bee conducting the service. Burial, under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary, was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dr. C. D. Howard, Lloyd Burdic, John Nielsen, John Hansen, Sr., John Hansen, Jr., and Clifton Robinson.
