Suffered From Injuries Received In Accident Seven Years Ago

Jasper “Jap” Vaughn, 57, died Thursday, March 16, in Norfolk State Hospital. A patient at the hospital since last May. Mr. Vaughn had been in poor health since 1937, when he was injured in a train-car accident.

Father Thomas Carmody of St. Francis Borgia Catholic church was in charge of funeral rites, which took place at Bendorf Funeral Home March 17. Burial was in Blair cemetery.

Mr. Vaughn had been a resident of Washington county, coming here from Missouri in 1915. He was born at Cookville, Mo., on July 21, 1886.

In 1912 he was married to Rose Colgan, and five children, all of whom survive, were born to their union. They are Mrs. Howard Fink, Mrs. Carol Frye and Leo of Herman; Patricia and Floyd of Blair. Besides the widow and children, Mr. Vaughn also leaves one sister, Mrs. Arthur Cook, of Oakland, Mo.
