Harry J. Veeder Died At His Home August 7th

Henry J. Veeder, Blair man living at 631 North 15th street, died at his home early Saturday, August 7th. He had been a resident of Blair for several years.

The deceased was born January 30, 1920 at Belmond, Iowa and was 56 years of age at his death.

He was united in marriage to Betty A. Davis December 24th, 1960 and to this union one son, Leonard Jay, was born.

He was an Associate Manager of the Penn-Life Insurance Company.

He is survived by his wife, Betty and by a son, Lenny. By a previous marriage there are four sons and three daughters. The sons are James, Allen, Wayne and David. The daughters are Phyllis, Darlene and Sharon. None of the seven children were living in Blair. A brother, Lyle and three sisters, Grace, Francis and Pearl are also survivors. There are six grandchildren and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon, August 10th. The Rev. Gordon Patterson conducted the service and burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Gerald Weiner, Roy Zautke, Joe Knudsen, Jerry Taylor, Dave Rexius and Ted Beard.
