Juul, Betty Jean

Jun 6, 1921 – Sep 1, 2012

On Saturday, September 1, 2012, Betty Jean (Miller) Juul passed away in her home in Bolivar, MO. Born in Blair, NE, she lived a full wonderful life that included many interests. A few of those were music, dancing, gardening, clothing, and most of all reading and learning all her life. Since childhood, she was passionate about animals, especially horses. She was a very talented artist, but she declined the path to fame for family when an invitation to New York came her way. Preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Harold C. Juul. Survived by her children, Eunice Wingert, Gary Juul, Roger Juul, and Denise Harman; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. She was deeply proud her husband was a WWII Veteran, becoming a lifelong supporter of Veterans. She taught her family the most important values of life, which they maintained and cherished. Her wit, warmth, grace, and charm were unforgettable. She was described by all that met her as a “great lady” and she was. She donated her body to MedCure.

Commemorative Service will be October 14 at the American Legion in Bolivar, MO from 2-5 pm. Graveside Service will be October 15 in Blair, NE at the Juul family plot where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
