Linda O’Hanlon Larsen, 65

Linda O’Hanlon Larsen, 65, of Shawnee, Kan., formerly of Blair, died July 23, 2012, at the Kansas University Medical Center in Shawnee from complications of colon cancer.

Her family invites her extended family and friends from the Blair area to join them for her memorial at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 1, at the home of her brother-in-law and his wife, Randall and Marlys Larsen, 210 Koeppe St., Walnut, Iowa.

She married Michael O’Hanlon and lived in Blair from 1973 to 1985.

She worked at JJ’s clothing store and was involved with her son’s Little League teams.

She left Blair and moved to Omaha where she pursued a career as a drug and alcohol abuse counselor and worked for many years in Harlan, Iowa.

She married Craig Larsen on February 14, 1992. They moved a few times over the years before his career had them settled in Shawnee, Kan.

Mrs. Larsen was an avid gardener, decorator, and lover of all things beautiful. She was most proud of her grandchildren and her great-grandbaby.

She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Craig Larsen of Shawnee; her children, Scott O’Hanlon of Huntington Beach, Calif., Robert Gagne O’Hanlon and his wife, Lisa, of Oceanside, Calif., and Michael O’Hanlon McCutchen of Liberty, Mo.; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and her mother, Mildrede Gideon of Shawnee.
