Large family mourns loss

Thomas G. Vaughan, 50, of Blair, died Sunday, April 10, 2011.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14, at Holy Name Catholic Church. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.

The family will received friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the church, with a vigil service at 7 p.m.

Thomas G. Vaughan was born Nov. 14, 1960, to Leo and Dorothy Vaughan.

He is survived by his wife, Julie; children, Thomas Gerard Jr., Caitlin Marie and Danielle Page; siblings and spouses, Rose and Jerry Ahern, Connie Vaughan (widow of Dr. Emmett J. Vaughan), Leo W. Vaughan Jr., Josephine and Bob Larsen, Moira and Richard Klein, Vickie and Judd Allen, Ed and Suzanne Vaughan, Teddy Kading, Mary Claire and Randy Hansen, Terri and Bob Moehring, John and Sue Vaughan, Bridget and Jerry Mullin, Mickey Whitefield, Joe and Leeann Vaughan, Pat and Maria Vaughan, Marty and Sandra Vaughan, Ann and Glen Wehr; 288 nieces and nephews; more than 875 cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials are suggested to the Colon Cancer Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
