The body of Charles Verdan arrived here yesterday morning from Denver, he having died last Friday of uric poisoning. He has suffered from creeping paralysis for three or four years. The funeral is to be held at the Congregational church at 2 o’clock today and interment made in the Blair cemetery. He was born in Council Bluffs Sept. 11, 1869 and spent most of his life on a farm in DeSoto township, his mother being Mrs. Daniel McPherson. He had been west for about 15 years and was living with his mother in Denver at the time of his death. Besides his mother who brought his body here, he leaves one son, Clarence, of Norfolk, Neb., one brother, Wm. McPherson, and four sisters, Mrs. Scott Allen, of Ft. Calhoun township, Mrs. C. M. De?ny, of Sulphur Springs, Ark., Mrs. Wm. Faber, of Omaha, and Mrs. Crum, of Council Bluffs. His aunt, Mrs. L. Phillips, of Hemingford, Neb., was also here to attend the funeral.
