Leo J. Keegan, 82

Leo J. Keegan, 82, of Fort Calhoun died Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Crowell Home in Blair.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, November 24, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Leo J. Keegan was born on November 14, 1930, to John U. and Irene (McMillan) Keegan in Omaha. He grew up in Fort Calhoun, and attended Fort Calhoun High School.

In 1951, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Korea. In 1954, he was honorably discharged from the Marines with the rank of sergeant. After serving his country, Mr. Keegan moved back to Fort Calhoun and worked for several different companies during his working years.

He was a 45-year continuous member of the Fort Calhoun American Legion Post 348.

He is survived by several cousins and many good friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Bernard Keegan.
