George L. Epperley 61, Dies in Denver

Blair Man Only Survivor of Former Resident

George L. Epperley, 61, former resident of Blair and a brother of Ernest Epperley of this city, died in Denver on Tuesday, April 5, and was buried in the local cemetery last Saturday.

The Denver man was born at Muscatine, Iowa, on March 16, 1871, and when he was sixteen years old, came to Blair with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Epperley, and his brother, Ernest. George remained here only five years, going to Denver, where he had lived since that time.

Ernest Epperley is the only immediate survivor, Mr. Epperley having never married. Nine nieces and nephews are among those mourning his death, however. Brief rites were conducted at the grave by Rev. A. F. Newell.

George Epperley was known to a number of Blair residents, not only because he once lived here, but also because he had visited here frequently. His last visit was in October to attend the funeral of his mother. His father died here seven years ago.
