Jean E. Burkhart, 80

Jean E. Burkhart, 80, of Logan, Iowa, died Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Westmont Care Center in Logan, Iowa.

It was her wish to be cremated and have no services.

Jean Elizabeth Bamford was born Aug. 24, 1932, to William and Opal Aline (McHenry) Bamford in Woodbine, Iowa.

She is survived by her husband, Harold Burkhart of Logan; five children and their spouses, Patti Burkhart of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Everett and Nancy Burkhart of Eagle Grove, Iowa, Mary and Francis Phillips of Arlington, Glen and LuAnne Burkhart of Logan, and Jeffrey Burkhart of Missouri Valley, Iowa; two sisters, Kathleen Ellison of Woodbine and Irvalee Ulmer of Florida; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Harriett Evans; four sisters, Beverly Sailors, Genevieve Clausen, Bertha Bamford and Virginia Orr; and two brothers, William Bamford and Irving “Bud” Bamford.

Fouts Funeral Home in Woodbine was in charge of arrangements.
