Ivan E. Doran, 84, of Eagle, died Saturday, November 24, 2012, in Lincoln.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, November 29, at Roper and Sons Funeral Home, 4300 O St., in Lincoln. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday with the family gathering from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Eagle.

Ivan E. Doran was born September 18, 1928, to Fred D. and Evelyn R (Chambers) Doran in Alliance.

He served in the U.S. Air Force in Korea.

He worked for LT & T and retired from there after 43 years.

Mr. Doran was a member of the Eagle United Methodist Church and past member of the Moose’s Club, Eagle Lion’s Club and Alvo Rural Fire and Rescue. He was a CWA member for 43 years.

He loved playing cards, gardening, camping, country music and dancing, and was an avid storyteller.

He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Lois of Liberty, Mo., Dan and Cori of Alvo, David and Cindy of Eagle, Timothy and Tammy of Eagle and Thomas of Tecumseh; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, including nephew, Joe and Renee Doran of Kennard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene; an infant son, Dennis, and brother, Dwight.

Memorials may be directed to the Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association.
