Beverly M. Nelson, 79

Beverly M. Nelson, 79, of Missouri Valley, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Longview Home in Missouri Valley.

Services were Saturday, November 24, at Hennessey-Aman Funeral Home in Missouri Valley. Interment was in Calhoun Cemetery near Missouri Valley.

Beverly May Aldredge was born May 26, 1933, in Bedford, Iowa, to Newton and Edna (Reed) Aldredge.

She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

On April 16, 1955, she married Donald Wesley Nelson in Council Bluffs. They had lived in Missouri Valley since 1965.

She enjoyed camping, fishing, gardening, music, ceramics, crafts, crocheting and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, on Jan. 29, 2011; brothers, Marvin and Jimmy; and sons-in-law, Tom Stricklett and Randy Trisdale.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Gary Elvers, Judy and Raymond Lager and Lisa Stricklett, all of Missouri Valley, and Linda Trisdale of Blair; five granddaughters; four grandsons; one great-granddaughter; two great-grandsons; sister, Sharon Kay Brockman of Nevada, Mo.; and brothers, Donald Aldredge and Bobby Aldredge, both of Council Bluffs, and Steven Aldredge of Carrollton, Mo.
