Mary A. Whitesides

The death of Mrs. Mary A. Whitesides occurred at her home on West Front street, near the Danish Publishing house on last Tuesday evening. She had been ill with heart trouble following influenza. Funeral services were held this morning at the home and the body was taken to St. Louis for burial, where her husband, the late Rev. M. S. Whiteside is buried. The deceased was Mary A. Johns and was born in Franklin county, Mo. in 1848. In a early day she accompanied her parents to Cuming City, north of Blair, when that place had great promise of growth. Here she was married and afterwards lived in the south, in Missouri and Louisiana. She has made her home with her son, Dr. W. W. Whitesides of this city for about a year.
