Susie M. Genoways, 62

Susie M. Genoways, 62, of Bayard, died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

Services will be 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 1, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fort Calhoun.

Susie Marie Miller was born September 29, 1950, in Creston, Iowa, to Bernard and Frances (Mosley) Miller.

She grew up north of Omaha.

On July 12, 1969, she married Austin Genoways in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

They moved to Bayard in 1973 where she worked at Great Western Sugar for more than 20 years.

She is survived by her husband Austin of Bayard; daughters and son-in-law Julie and Pat Hammack of Gering and Lynn Genoways of Omaha; mother, Frances Miller of Fort Calhoun; brother and sister-in-law, David and Susie Miller of Fort Calhoun; sister-in-law, Patty Miller of Omaha; and four grandchildren, USMC PFC Jabe Hammack, stationed in Pensacola, Fla., Kaleb Hammack, Mitchell Hammack and Dylan Hammack of Gering.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bernard Miller; brother, Timothy Miller; and grandson, Seth Hammack.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family to be designated at a later date.

Jolliffe Funeral Home and Crematory in Bridgeport is in charge of arrangements.
