Einar Vig Died At His Home June 29th

Einar Vig, a life-long resident of Blair, was found dead at his home last week following a period of several days that he had not taken his mail from the mailbox. He lived alone at 272 North 21st Street.

Postmaster H. J. Madsen notified police of the accumulation of mail. Patrolmen investigated and found the house locked. Unable to raise anyone they forced a lock and found Vig lying on the bed.

County Attorney Roy Anderson was called and death was declared natural, there being no evidence of foul play.

The body was taken to the Bendorf Funeral Home.

Einar Vig was born January 27, 1905 at Blair, the son of Rev. and Mrs. P. S. Vig. Rev. Vig was associated with Dana College for many years. He grew up in Blair, graduated from Blair High School and attended Dana College.

He is survived by four brothers and one sister. The brothers are Eli, of Fresno, California; Arndt, of Albert Lea, Minnesota; Victor, of Fairlawn, New Jersey; and Clemens, of Blair. The surviving sister is Mrs. A. H. Olson (Ruth of Coalville, Washington.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 6th with Rev. H. C. Jorgensen officiating. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery.
