Bernita Opal Viles, 71

Funeral services for Benita Opal Viles who died July 21, 1989 at the Nebraska Veterans Home in Norfolk were held Monday, July 24, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Rev. Dennis M. Maaske officiated.

Mrs. Viles was born July 21, 1918 in Herrick, South Dakota to Loyal Loudon and Grace Kirk Loudon. She attended elementary and high school in Herrick, South Dakota moving to Blair in 1944.

On December 19, 1945 she married Nial Viles at Papillion, Nebraska. They lived in Lyons and Arlington before returning to Blair in 1951. She worked as a cook at the Blair Marina until her retirement. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair and the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post No. 1251 in Blair. She had resided in Norfolk, Nebraska for the last 14 months.

Mrs. Viles is survived by her husband, Nial of Norfolk; four daughters Mrs. Ron (Susan) Jensen, Norfolk, Mrs. Clyde (Kathleen) Noyes, Sr. of Blair, Mrs. Mike (Anita) Donahue of Springfield, Ohio and Mrs. Carl (Mary Kay) Williams of Omaha; seven grandchildren, Robie Jensen, Jay Jensen, Clyde Noyes, Jr., James Noyes, Robert Noyes, Michael D. Donahue, Angela Donahue; two great-grandchildren, Vivianna Jensen and Caleb Wood; sister, Ethel Sylvis of Blair, and a brother, Jom Loudon of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Florence and a brother, Loyal.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
