Crowell Home News

Another beautiful life has gone out from the Home. This time it is Miss Celia Warner, who has been a happy guest of the Home about six years. Owing to her mild and gentle manner and high Christian character the deceased was loved and respected by all. Miss Warner came from Elgin, Neb. She passed away at 2:40 p.m. Sunday, May 6, just a week to the day after the passing away of Hannah Best and within twenty minutes of the same hour. The deceased has been a great sufferer for a couple of months past so the final summons was a relief to her, the patient, hopeful one. The funeral services were held in the Home chapel at 2:30 Tuesday, interment in the Blair cemetery.

Crowell Home News

Miss Celia Warner, who has been at the Home about six years, passed away last Sunday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Her funeral was held Tuesday afternoon with Rev. J. A. Johnson conducting the services and was laid away in the Blair cemetery. Miss Warner was born in Iowa, April 4, 1854, where she lived a number of years, then moved to Elgin, Nebr. and from there came to the Home. She had always lived in a frail body yet was very diligent and had made her own living until coming to the Home, where she had hoped to take it a little easier but even here she was kept busy with her needle and did beautiful work. She was interested in all Christian work and active in things pertaining to the Home. We all miss her but glad she has gone to her reward where she will suffer no more.
