Ardith M. Whittington, 75

Ardith M. Whittington, 75, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, died May 25, 2005. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Henry-Livingston Funeral Chapel in Council Bluffs. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Ardith Mae “Ardie” Whittington was born April 11, 1930, in Blair to Arthur and Gladys (Taylor) Brown.

She and her late husband, Ray, were married for 24 years. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her family.

She is survived by her children, Wendell and Kevin McCain; Karen Ashcraft, Jane and Dale Sewing, James and Sandra Whittington, Jamie and Tim Bellows, Jocelyn and Howard Reynolds, Jean and Larry Malmos, and Julie Whittington; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Lloyd Brown; and sister, Vera Ratfield.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kittie; and brothers, Jimmy and Gerald Brown.

WHITTINGTON—Ardith Mae (Ardie), age 75, of Council Bluffs passed 5/25/05. Ardith was born April 11, 1930 in Blair, NE, the daughter of Arthur and Gladys Taylor Brown. She and her late husband Ray were married for 24 years. Ardie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was devoted to her family. Ardith is preceded in death by her husband, Ray (2003); daughter, Kittie (1997) brothers Jimmy and Gerald Brown. She will be sadly missed by her children, Wendell and Kevin McCain; Karen Ashcraft, Jane Sewing (Dale), James Whittington (Sandra), Jamie Bellows (Tim), Jocelyn Reynolds (Howard), Jean Malmos (Larry), and Julie Whittington; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Lloyd Brown and sister Vera Ratfield.

VISITATION Mon. 6-8 p.m. at Henry-Livingston Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Funeral Service Tues. 10:00 a.m. at Henry-Livingston Funeral chapel. Interment Blair City Cemetery in Blair.
