Michael J. Thompson, 76, of Blair, died Monday, December 10, 2012, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. At Mr. Thompson’s request, private family services will be at a later date.
Michael J. Thompson was born November 7, 1936, in Blair to Joseph H. and Elizabeth (Wise) Thompson. He was raised in Blair. He served his country in the U.S. Army. Mr. Thompson was a farmer, and then an electrician for more than 40 years.
On February 14, 1985, he married Nancy O’Keefe. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Thompson of Blair; sons, Brad Thompson of Tekamah and Bryan Thompson of Charlotte, N.C.; daughter, Marcy Thompson of Brevard, N.C.; sister, Lil Wieser of Anderson, S.C.; stepchildren, Kevin Levy of Blair, Shelly Levy of Sand Point, Idaho, Shauna Reed of Hungry Horse, Mont., Sondra Reed of Billings, Mont., and Frank Gager of Herman; two grandchildren; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair is in charge of arrangements.
