Robert 'Bob' F. Wilcox, 84

Robert "Bob" F. Wilcox, 84, of Blair, died Friday, December 7, 2012, at Immanuel Fontenelle Home in Omaha.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 13, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Blair. Interment will follow in the Blair Cemetery.

Robert "Bob" F. Wilcox was born December 17, 1927, in Burritt Township, Winnebago County, Ill., to J. Cecil and Harriett (Franklin) Wilcox.

After graduating from high school in Rockford, Ill., near the end of World War II, he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and served as a clerk at Offutt Field in Bellevue. While there, he met Patricia Fitch of Blair. They were married September 22, 1948, in Blair and returned to Illinois where he farmed and worked in retail.

In 1959, they moved to Blair and he pursued a career as a credit manager in Omaha. After retiring, he had a number of part-time jobs, including delivering prescriptions for Blair West Pharmacy.

His hobbies included gardening, helping Mrs. Wilcox do ceramics, genealogy, watching the Chicago Cubs and Huskers, and hanging out with his family.

He is survived by a daughter, Susan Jensen of Fort Dodge, Iowa; son and daughter-in-law, Robin and Patty Wilcox of Kanab, Utah; nine grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pat.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair was in charge of arrangements.
