Louise M. Peck, 96

Louise M. Peck, 96, of Herman, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Oakland Heights in Oakland.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 8 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home in Blair. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will follow in the Blair Cemetery.

Louise M. Jacob was born July 27, 1916, in Bloomfield to Max and Martha (Filter) Jacob.

She was raised in Bloomfield and Omaha.

On November 6, 1939, she married William Peck in Omaha.

During her married years in Washington County she was a member of the New England Club. She was a member of the Herman Federated Church and then a member of the Herman Community Church. She was a member of the Herman American Legion Auxiliary.

Mrs. Peck was always there for her husband and family and was a very dedicated housewife and mother. She was known for her apple pies and homemade cookies.

In the later years of her life, she assisted her husband with the seed corn business.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Henry Hernandez of Herman.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Peck; son, James “Jim” Peck; brothers, Arnold Jacob and Arthur Jacob; and sister, Esther Jacob Frahm.
