Mark Widger, 45

Mark Widger, 45, of Parker, Colo., died Wednesday, July 26, 2000 at Englewood, Colo.

Memorial services were held Monday, July 31 at Ashland (Neb.) United Methodist Church. Interment was at the Ashland Cemetery.

Mark Widger was born Jan. 23, 1955, in Imperial, Neb., the son of Orville and Ila (Thone) Widger.

He graduated from Wauneta High School in 1973. He graduated in 1978 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a degree in zoology, and had additional education in computers.

Mark Widger married Carrie Ehlers on Nov. 24, 1984, in Glenwood, Iowa.

He was employed as a computer programmer with Centura Health in Englewood. Before moving to Colorado, he was employed as a computer-programmer in the Omaha and Lincoln areas.

He enjoyed guitar, his Harley motorcycle, farming, and the great outdoors of Colorado. He had received his Eagle Scout when he was 15 years old.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie, two daughters, Sarah and Alicia Widger, and a son, Matthew Widger, all of Parker; his parents, Orville and Ila Widger of Wauneta; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dan and Deb Widger of Wahoo, Sam and Michelle Widger of Kearney, and Ronnie and Cindy Keithley of Herman.

Parker Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of funeral arrangements.
