Alberta B. Wiegert, 95, of Blair, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Crowell Memorial Home in Blair.

Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 5, at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton with the Rev. Dwight Albers officiating. Interment was in the Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton.

Alberta B. Wiegert was born May 31, 1908, at Red Wing, Minn., to August and Mary Kiehl.

She graduated from Bloomfield High School in 1926 and graduated from Clarkson School of Nursing in Omaha in 1930, receiving her RN certification. She worked in Omaha as a private duty nurse before moving to Creighton, where she worked for 25 years at the Creighton Hospital.

On June 29, 1936, she married Albert Wiegert in Omaha.

Mrs. Wiegert was an honorable member of the Clarkson Memorial Nurses alumni, American Legion Auxiliary, and Zion Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Karen Wiegert of Blair; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters, nieces and a nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother.

SERVICES Fri. 11 am, Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton, Rev. Dwight Albers will officiate. Burial Greenwood Cemetery, Creighton, NE. VISITATION one hour before the Service at the Funeral Home.
