Carl Wiese, 89, Dies At Thedford

Carl Wiese, a former Washington county man, was buried at Thedford, Nebraska, Saturday. He had lived on a ranch near Thedford since 1918.

Calhoun and Blair until 1918 when he decided to take up ranching at Thedford. He was quite successful in this venture and accumulated considerable land and raised thousands of cattle.

After his retirement several years ago he became interested in improving the city park at Thedford and he spent considerable of his personal funds for trees and shrubbery for the park.
