Clarence W. Wiese, 85

Services for Clarence W. Wiese, 85 of Blair who died Nov. 21, 1996 at Crowell Memorial Home were Mon., Nov. 25 at First Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Clarence W. Wiese was born May 6, 1911 on the family farm near Kennard to Rudolph and Tena Harder Wiese. He attended grade school at the Peaceful Hill School.

He married Leona Johnsen Oct. 12, 1938. They farmed in the Kennard and Orum area until November of 1969. At that time, they moved to Blair where he worked for the Blair Red-E-Mix Co. until he retired. He had lived at Crowell Memorial Home for the last two months.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church and the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3215.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Chester; brothers, Herman, August, Art, Asmus and Henry; a sister, Christena; two half brothers, Claus and Rudy and three half-sisters, Bertha Voss, Meta Stender and Amanda Wulf.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; a daughter, Lleanna Metz, both of Blair; grandchildren, Tena and Lester Hochstetler of Guernsey, Wyo.; Chet and Carolyn Wiese of Herman; Betty Metz of Blair; Amy and Bryan Hansen of Blair; Sheryl Metz of Omaha; great-grandchildren, Jennifer and Natosha Wiese, Bryer and Lance Hansen and Bailey Metz; and one sister, Dorothy Wiese of Blair.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
