Esther Wiese, 79, of Blair, died Friday, Dec. 24, 1999 at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1999 at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Esther A. Wiese was born April 10, 1920, to Fritz and Martha (Klabunde) Lorsch in Omaha. She attended Long Creek School.

On June 26, 1940, she married Asmus Wiese. They lived and farmed in the Kennard and Herman area prior to moving to Blair in 1946.

She was very active in the Blair Eagles Women’s Auxiliary, holding all the offices in the organization in addition to serving as president on two different occasions.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Carol Wiese of Omaha; sister, Ella Charron of Omaha; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wiese of Blair; three grandchildren, Richard, Chris and Allison Wiese; and two great-grandchildren, Krista Wiese and Jacob Runyon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Asmus, who died in 1991; two grandsons, Steven and Daniel Wiese; one sister, Emma Lorsch; and one brother, Walter Lorsch.

Memorials are suggested to the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles Women’s Auxiliary.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
