Merle R. Wiese, 57

Merle R. Wiese, 57, of Blair, died Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006 at his home in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 25 at Grace United Methodist Church in Kennard. Interment will be in the Kennard Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Merle Ray Wiese and his twin brother, Mick, were born April 9, 1948 in Omaha to Harry and Ruth (Brown) Wiese. He graduated from Blair High School in 1966.

He entered the Air Force in June 1966 and was discharged in January 1970. He worked at Wilkinson Manufacturing, No Frills Supermarket and Blair High School.

He was united in marriage to Carolyn Mack Sept. 5, 2000 in Logan, Iowa.

Mr. Wiese is survived by his wife, Carolyn; a son, Ricky Wiese of Texas; a daughter, Patricia DePew of Texas; three grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark and Dee Wiese of Omaha and Mick and Angel Wiese of Grand Island, N.Y.; three step-children, Kevin Cornell of Omaha, Tiffanie Cornell of Omaha and Carrie Cornell of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and five step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
