Robert L. Wiese, 72, of Fort Calhoun died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home.

Burial will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Visitation was planned for Wednesday from 3 to 8:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. A Masonic Service was planned for 7 p.m. by Solomon Lodge 10 A.F & A.M., followed by a prayer service.

Robert L. Wiese was born July 20, 1926 to Rudolph and Rose Wiese in Kennard.

He graduated from Fort Calhoun High School.

On Oct. 30, 1954, he married Deloras Doty in Blair.

He worked in milk transportation and agribusiness.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 348, Solomon Lodge 10, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and 40/8.

He was a member of the Lutheran Church.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Debbie Wiese of Hartington and Terry and Judi Wiese of Omaha; one daughter and son-in-law, Cyndie and Rich Eichler of Omaha; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and one sister, Ramona Gibbs of Blair.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Deloras; his parents; and two brothers, Marvin and Delmar.
