Mrs. Sophia Wiese, 88, Died At Blair Hospital Monday

Mrs. Sophia Wiese, age 88 died Monday evening at the Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. Mrs. Wiese, the widow of George Wiese was born February 13, 1873 in the Telbasta area and was the daughter of John Beckman and Johanna (Schulte) Beckman. The family lived on a farm south of Blair.

Survivors include 9 children, Andrew Wiese, Blair; Alice Wiese, Blair; Peter Wiese of Hutchinson, Minnesota; Mrs. John Rohlff (Lena) of Winside, Nebraska; Ferdinand Wiese of Missouri Valley, Iowa; Mrs. Otto Wrich (Dora) Kennard; John Wiese, Ft. Calhoun; Harry Wiese of Blair; Alfred Wiese of Kennard; sixteen grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Carrie Snowdon of Blair.

Rev. Kenneth Garrison of Kennard Methodist Church will conduct the services being held at the Bendorf Funeral Home Thursday at 2 P.M. Pallbearers are nephews: Robie Andersen, Charles and Louie Voss, Wally Snowdon and Henry and Carl Wiese. Burial will follow in the German Cemetery.
