Elsie L. Wilcox, 73, of Blair, died Saturday, March 5, 2005 at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 8, at First Christian Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Elsie L. Wilcox was born July 14, 1931, in Omaha to John and Ruth (Rodman) Watkins. She graduated from Fort Calhoun High School, where she had served as the class president.

On June 9, 1949, she married Lyle Wilcox at Oakland.

Mrs. Wilcox worked for Wilkinson Manufacturing for many years. She was a member of First Christian Church in Blair. Her husband and her children were her life.

She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kent and Rita Wilcox and John Wilcox, all of Blair; daughters and son-in-law, Janice and Tim Cleaver of Modale, Iowa, and Mary Kauffman of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and a sister, Vivienne McDonald of Blair.

She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Lyle, in 1993; and a sister Della Frahm.

Memorials are suggested to Good Shepherd Lutheran Home or Memorial Community Hospital.
