Harley Wilcox Died In Omaha Last Wednesday

Harley F. Wilcox, a native of the Blair area, died last Wednesday, October 24th at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha. He was 77 years of age, having been born at Blair November 19th , 1895.

Mr. Wilcox, who wife preceded him in death, lived at 3859 Franklin Street, Omaha.

For many years he was Maintenance Engineer at the Immanuel Hospital in Omaha, a position from which he was retired at the time of his last illness and death.

He was the son of Marshall Wilcox, pioneer Washington County farmer, now deceased.

He is survived by three sons and a daughter. The sons are Allan Wilcox, of Omaha; Duane Wilcox, of Kennard and Lyle Wilcox, of Blair. The daughter is Mrs. Jane Nelson of Omaha. There are twelve grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Bessie Rhoades, of Blair is a sister, as is Mrs. Grace Carlson, of Omaha. The brothers are Ray Wilcox, Omaha and Howard Wilcox of Belle Fousch, South Dakota.

Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church in Blair Saturday afternoon, October 27th. The Rev. Robert Albers and the Rev. M.L. Lundquist, of Omaha conducted the services. Burial was made in the Blair Cemetery under the direction of the Campbell Mortuary.

The pallbearers were Paul McDonald, Lee McDonald, Gordon McDonald, Fred Olson, Harry Tucker and Robert Petersen.
