Michael E. Wilcox, 67

Michael E. Wilcox, 67, of Blair, died Oct. 18, 2009, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair. Services were Wednesday, Oct. 21, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Mr. Wilcox will be remembered as a gregarious, highly-spirited and fun-loving fellow, well-known for his gift of gab and sometimes, tall tales. He seemed to laugh at life’s situations, both in his own life and with the many friends he interacted with, with his quick wit, smile and positive words of encouragement. His acts of kindness will be treasured and remembered. His material wealth stemmed from his salesmanship, owning several food franchises, a computer supply business, and in later years, working as a vendor representative for the building supply trade.

Mr. Wilcox is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela Osborn and Bob Hamilton of Lompoc, Calif.; brothers-in-law and spouses, Jim and Margaret Trierweiler of Denison, Iowa, and Phil and Donna Trierweiler of Savannah, Mo.; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elton Wilcox; mother and stepfather, Donna and Dave Osborn; brother, George Wilcox; brothers-in-law and spouses, Dick and Diane Trierweiler and Don and Maryann Trierweiler.
