Mary E. Vinton, 79, of Blair, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2000, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha.

Services were Thursday, Jan. 20, at First United Methodist Church in Blair. Burial was in the Blair Cemetery.

Mary E. Vinton was born Oct. 26, 1920 to Charles and Anna M. (Monson) Andreasen in Blair. She attended school in Blair and Omaha, graduating from Benson High in 1938.

On her 21st birthday, she was united in marriage to Keith (Kayo) Vinton in Blair.

She enjoyed playing cards, watching football games, spending time with her family and spending summers at the family cabin on Blanche Lake in Minnesota.

She is survived by her husband Keith (Kayo) of Blair; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Jeff and Kathy Vinton of Beaufort, N.C.; a daughter-in-law, Janis (Vinton) Sasse of Walker, Minn.; six grandchildren; a sister, Helen Cornu of Wayland, Mass.; a sister-in-law, Helen Andreasen of Blair; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert in 1991, and a brother, John.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
