Funeral services for Robert Vinton, 42, of Blair, who died April 24, 1991 as the result of injuries suffered in an accident, were held Saturday, April 27 at First Lutheran Church. Burial was in the Blair cemetery.

Robert Charles Vinton was born on April 15, 1949 at Blair, Nebraska to Keith and Mary Andreasen Vinton. He graduated from Blair High School in 1967. In 1971, he received his bachelors of science in business degree from Dana College.

He married Janis Thompson May 9, 1970, at Blair.

For the last seven years he had served on the Blair City Council, and more recently was president of the Council. He was elected to the national Oldsmobile Dealer Council, belonged to the national Automobile Dealers Association, Nebraska New Car and Truck Dealers, and was a member of the Blair Masonic Lodge and Blair Lions Club. He was a ten-year member of the University of Nebraska Wheel Club, and a three-year member (by invitation) to the Dealer 20 Year Group.

He is survived by his wife Janis; three children, Molly, Mark and Sarah and his parents, Keith and Mary Vinton, all of Blair; one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Jeff and Kathy Vinton, Escondido, California and his mother-in-law, Ruth Thompson of Blair. Aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces also survive him.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
