John William Vogt

John William Vogt was born June 25, 1966 at Fremont, Nebraska to Harris and Alice (Meyer) Vogt. He was Baptized July 10, 1966 and Confirmed into the Lutheran Faith on March 30, 1980 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Arlington. John was raised on the family farm north of Arlington and graduated from Arlington High School in 1984. He attended Iowa Western Community College for a year and was recently employed at George A. Hormel and Co. in Fremont.

John passed from this earthly life Saturday morning, July 19, 1986 at Fremont, Nebraska at the age of 20 years and 24 days. He is survived by his parents, Harris and Alice Vogt of Nickerson; a brother, Mark Vogt of Nickerson; two sisters, Theresa, Mrs. Michael Focht of St. Peters, Missouri and Miss Lynn Vogt of Nickerson; and maternal grandmother, Mrs. Louise Meyer of Seattle, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Anna Vogt and Victor Meyer.
