Evelyn Eriksen, 79

Evelyn Eriksen, 79, of Herman, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, at her home in Good Shepherd Village in Blair.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2002, at the Herman Legion Hall. Interment will be in the Herman Cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

Evelyn Eriksen was born March 1, 1922, to Carl and Emma (Buchardt) Erikson at their home in rural Spiker. She graduated from Blair High School in 1939.

On June 12, 1942, she married John "Jack" Eriksen in Herman. She lived in the Herman area all of her life, and was a cook at the Herman School for more than 20 years., She was a member of the Herman Community Church and the church circle.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Roger Barber of Herman, and Susan and Gerald Litwak of Bellevue, son and daughter-in-law, John and Lucille Eriksen of Tekamah, seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
