The memorial service for Naomi M. Von Essen, 67 of Lincoln who died June 1, 1992 at St. Elizabeth Community Health Center in Lincoln was Saturday, June 6 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Rev. Paul Hoffman officiated. Burial was in Memorial Cemetery at Fremont.

Naomi Christensen was born January 7, 1925 in Nickerson and grew up in the area. After high school, she worked at the former F. W. Woolworth Co. on Sixth Street and Petrow’s Restaurant and Confectionery on Main street, both in Fremont. She then lived and farmed near Oakland for nine years before moving to Lincoln, where she did babysitting in her home.

She married Warren Von Essen July 13, 1947 in Fontanelle.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Warren; her mother, Cecile Christensen of Fremont and two sisters, Doris (Mrs. Howard) Happel of North Bend and Joanne (Mrs. Richard) Holtman of Nickerson.
