Helen Lechien, 84, of Blair, died Monday, December 17, 2012, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair. Private services will be at a later date. Inurnment will be in the Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kan.

Helen Jones was born on January 3, 1928, in Omaha to Elmer and Leetha (Gorsach) Jones.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Willis of Arizona; nieces, Ruthann McCary of Blair, Jackie Whittington of Omaha and Mary Comstock of Blair; and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert V. Lechien; one brother and three sisters.
