Gilford Wilder Dies In Fremont At Age 65

Gilford D. Wilder of Fremont and a former resident of Craig and Modale died suddenly May 8 at the Fremont Hospital.

Wilder, who had been disabled and retired since 1967, was 65 years old at the time of his death. He had been employed by Stormore of Fremont.

He was born on Dec. 10, 1910 at Modale, Iowa, and he had come to Fremont in 1960 from Craig. On Oct. 21 1948, he married Christina Boock at Ogallala, Neb.

A member of the American Legion, Wilder had served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Surviving him are his wife, Christina, a son, Gary Wilder of San Francisco, a grand-daughter, two brothers, Clarence of Lawndale, Calif., and Ernest of Oklahoma City, Okla., and a sister Mrs. Hattie Christ of Lyons, Neb.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Bader-Bozanek-Lawson Mortuary in Fremont. Burial was at the Fremont Memorial Cemetery with military graveside service.
