Chris Klotz, 37, Rites Thursday

Chris Wrich Klotz, of Kennard, passed away at the Methodist Hospital in Omaha on August 24th. where he had undergone surgery earlier in the month.

Mr. Klotz was born to Mr. and Mrs. Max Klotz on July 5, 1928 and was 37 years of age at the time of his death.

He was married to Rose Marie Rahmer, of Benson, on September 14, 1949 and they have lived on a farm near Kennard since their marriage. They are the parents of four children, Claudia, Chris, Jr., Steven and Audrey.

Mr. Klotz was active in the Kennard Methodist Church and has served as Lay Leader and was a member of the Church Board. He was also Secretary to Peaceful Hill School Board and a member of the Riverview Grange.

He is survived by his wife and four children, his mother, Mrs. Margaret Klotz, two sisters: Mrs. Donald Limbeck (Beverly) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Mrs Warren Nielsen (Phyllis) of Blair and a brother, Merritt Klotz of Kennard. His father died in December of 1962.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 26 at the Kennard Methodist Church at 2:00 o’clock. The Rev. Sam Hemphill will officiate. The Campbell Mortuary is in charge of arrangements and burial will be in the Kennard Cemetery.
