John Wilder

John Wilder, known to many people in this county, died at Rockport, Mo., Nov. 11 and was buried in Blair last Friday morning at eleven o’clock. Rev. O. U. McProud of the Methodist Church officiating.

The deceased was born at Culbert, Indiana, Oct. 31, 1867. He was married to Mary Bowden and to them three sons and five daughters were born, all of whom with the wife are still living.

He was called from his home near Tekamah to Missouri to attend the funeral of a brother-in-law and while there sickened and died and the body was brought here for burial.

Besides the wife and children, he leaves five brothers and one sister to mourn him.

The remains of John Wilder were shipped to Blair and laid to rest in the Blair cemetery, Mr. Wilder having died at Lockport, Mo., on November 11th. Deceased was born near Covington, Ind., on October 31, 1867, and was married to Miss Mary Bowden at Herman on December 2, 1895. He was the father of ten children, eight of whom survive him. He was a brother of William Wilder of this city.
