Elmira G. Wilhelm, 82

Funeral services for Elmira Grace Wilhelm, 82, were held on Oct. 25, 2000, at Hopeland United Methodist Church in Hopeland, Penn. The Rev. J. Thomas Truitt officiated. Interment was at the church cemetery.

Mrs. Wilhelm died at Luther Acres Retirement Home, Lititz, Penn., following an extended illness.

Elmira Grace Wilhelm was born Nov. 9, 1917 in Hopeland, Penn., to John and Mary (Kline) Palm. She attended school at Hopeland. She went to work for Yorktowne Manufacturing, makers of Ship’n’Shore blouses. There she met and married Harold J. Wilhelm in 1939.

Mrs. Wilhelm worked for Yorktowne Manufacturing for more than 40 years before retiring. She was a member of Hopeland United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Carroll Lee and Pam Wilhelm of Blair; Terry L. and Arlene Wilhelm of Lancaster, Penn., and a daughter and son-in-law, Euzane and Jeff Levering of Nashville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and an infant sister.
