Raymond J. Wilke, 77

Raymond J. Wilke, 77, of Herman, died Friday, Oct. 21, 2005, at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct 25, at the Herman Legion Hall. Military graveside services will be held at the Herman Cemetery.

Raymond J. Wilke was born in rural Bennington to Henry C. and Emma (Rohwer) Wilke. He attended school in Broken Bow and Florence.

He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954.

Mr. Wilke farmed west of Fort Calhoun before moving to Herman in 1950. He was a member of the Herman American Legion Post where he had served as past commander.

He is survived by his brother, Henry Wilke of Herman, and sister, Betty Wrich of Blair, and nephews and nieces.

Memorials are suggested to the Herman American Legion or the Herman Federated Church.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
