Deputies investigate man's death in Washington County By Tricia Barber Washington County Enterprise and Pilot Tribune

Washington County Sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a Tekamah man early Friday morning at a farmhouse west of Blair.

Eric D. Feiling, 37, was dead inside the house when deputies and investigators arrived at 12496 CR 25, said Capt. Kevin Willis.

Feiling had been shot in the neck and one of the two other men in the house had tried to render aid to him, Willis said. One of the men had called 911 about 12:58 a.m.

Willis said it appeared the men had been visiting and drinking alcohol when Feiling was shot. No one else was in the house at the time, he said.

Because the death is still under investigation, Willis said he would not release the names of the other men at the house. An autopsy was done Friday.

The Blair Fire and Rescue Squad also responded to the call.
