Marie Mae Suverkrubbe, 88

Marie Mae Suverkrubbe, 88, of Fort Calhoun, died Tuesday, January 1, 2013, in Blair. A private funeral service is planned. There is no visitation. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Marie Mae Jahnel was born April 25, 1924, in Washington County to Chris and Helena Jahnel.

On June 24, 1945, she married Earl Suverkrubbe in Washington County.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Lonnie and Chris Suverkrubbe of Blair; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Jeff Metzler of Omaha, Lorie and Mike Freburg of Fort Calhoun and Leann and Lynn Withem of Buckeye, Ariz.; sister, Martha Boss of Blair; grandchildren, Eileen Ondracek, Ryan Gloden, Amy Driver, Darrin Withem, Devin Angle, Jamie Freburg, Jodi Hauschild, Jennifer, Lindsey and Adam Suverkrubbe; great-grandchildren, Morgan, Gage, Gavin, Kaylee, Riley, Allie, Tyler, Nathan and Nolan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Suverkrubbe, on November 22, 1967; and brother, Kenneth Jahnel.

Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun is in charge of arrangements.
