A memorial service was held Monday, June 18 at the Fremont Salem Lutheran Church with Rev. Tomas Schlotterback officiating for Faye (Mrs. Raymond) Wilkening, 70 of Fremont who died at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County June 14, 1990.

Faye Schmidt Wilkening was born January 5, 1920 on the family farm near Arlington. She lived on a farm near Arlington all her life until moving into Fremont in November, 1987.

She married Raymond G. Wilkening April 5, 1940 at Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle. She was a member of Fremont’s Salem Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond; a son, James of rural Arlington; a daughter, Judith Ann (Mrs. Ed) Miksch of Phoenix, Arizona and three grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to Salem Lutheran Church of Fremont.

Ludvigsen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements for the services.
