Pearl Wilkening, 77

Pearl (Mrs. Clarence) Wilkening, 77 of Fremont died May 24, 1989 at the Skilled Care Center of Memorial Hospital of Dodge County in Fremont.

Pearl Strenger Wilkening was born March 3, 1912 just north of Telbasta on the family farm. She married Clarence (Kelly) Wilkening September 22, 1937 at Salem Lutheran Church at Fontenelle. They lived on the farm where she was born until they moved to Fremont in 1976.

She was a clerk at Telbasta Store. She was also a member of Salem Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence (Kelly); two daughters, Mrs. Travis (Rosie) Nelson, Mrs. Wayne (Marilyn) Wagner, both of Fremont; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral was Saturday, May 27 at Salem Lutheran Church at Fontanelle, Rev. C. VanderStoep officiated. Burial was in Salem Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial may be given to her church or to the Cancer Society.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont was in charge of arrangements.

Pearl Wilkening

Pearl Wilkening was called from this earthly life to the greater life beyond on May 24, Pearl was born March 3, 1912, on the family farm north of Telbasta. She married “Kelly” Wilkening September 22, 1937.

Peal was a member of the Salem Lutheran Church of Fontanelle. She and Kelly were active loving members of the Congregation where both of them were very deeply loved by fellow members.

Pearl worked as a clerk at the Telbesta store for several years, and after she married, the couple lived and farmed on the place she was born and raise.

Her husband, Kelly, and her two daughters, Rosie (Mrs. Travis Nelson) and Marilyn, (Mrs. Wayne Wagner), mourn her death. Also mourning her death are four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, plus many friends and other relatives.

May our Lord bless her memory unto our hearts and lives.
